...And we work with many more humans as we continue on our magical quest...

Huge thanks to Señor Chris Robson,

Background

This story was started at the Schools Climate Summit as part of London Climate Action Week (LCAW) during the global pandemic.

It was inspired by a video call from Glebe School's Wild Area. And by a belief that, despite everything, there is hope and magic amongst g
ood friends, good food, grandmothers (Abuelas) and Glebe pupils.

The story launched a project between two groups of young people: pupils at Glebe School, an SEN school in the London Borough of Bromley and young people in a refuge on the outskirts of Lima, Peru.

The project has two parallel journeys:
  • A school based case study based aimed to engage young people in sustainable food, language, culture, and place.
  • A working group of experts that will advise, critique and support the schools based on their own expertise in education, sustainable food, language, culture, place and climate action.
